On Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30PM, the city is hosting a community meeting at RCC Auditorium, about Boston's bid to host the 2024 Olympics. It is crucial that we are present, from the beginning, in planning and development processes in our communities. We are often left out of these processes. These processes are years in the making, and some of us don't pay attention until it is too late.
We don't want Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan only getting involved in the conversation in 2017, when a host city is chosen. It will be too late. It is imperative that we are involved in this conversation NOW, to shape the bid, and to shape future processes for big ideas in our communities. A flyer announcing the meeting is below and attached.
