With members from Mexico, Texas, Japan, California, and Norway, Night Lights brings together an eclectic assortment of indie, rock, and soul influenced sounds to make people dance and feel feelings. The Boston-based band met in 2012 and has since discovered a balance between profound lyrics, hook-heavy melodies, danceable music, and intriguing harmonic progressions. Their songs touch on existentialism and the confrontation of the self, hoping to discover a truth grounded in music, community, and conversation. With warped soundscapes, intricate riffs, melodic bass lines, colorful rhythmic creations, and captivating melodies and other-worldly vocal effects, it all comes together to take you on an unparalleled audio adventure.
Animal Flag is the musical project of songwriter Matthew Politoski. Starting in 2011, the band has self-released two full length albums, four EPs, and toured on both East and West coasts. Being based in the Northeast, it has acquired loyal home based followings in Boston and New York with packed and energetic live shows. The band also has a growing fan bases in places like Nashville, Philadelphia, Florida, and Georgia from relentless East Coast touring. In 2013 Animal Flag played at the National Association of Music Merchants convention in Anaheim.
