This hands on studio workshop will offer participants a deeper understanding of encaustic painting through color mixing, translucency and layering, texturizing, paint application and mark-making techniques, as well as encaustic monotype printing. Students are encouraged develop and explore their personal ideas and visual vocabulary on multiple panels or on a larger scale. It is a prerequisite that participants have completed an introductory level class or have prior experience with encaustic painting. All supplies included.
