NORTH END MUSIC & PERFORMING ARTS CENTER AND BOSTON LANDMARKS ORCHESTRA BRING COMMUNITY TOGETHER THROUGH MUSIC AND PRESENT A PERFORMANCE OF HANDEL’S MESSIAH IN BOSTON’S LITTLE ITALY
The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and Boston Landmarks Orchestra are thrilled to co-present the beloved 4th annual Handel’s Messiah, Part I, Concert on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018, at 7 p.m. to welcome the Holiday Season featuring the Boston Landmarks Orchestra, One City Choir, NEMPAC Youth Choir, and Professional Soloists at St. Leonard’s Church (320 Hanover Street) in the North End of Boston. This concert is free and open to the public.
Internationally acclaimed Music Director Christopher Wilkins takes the podium this year to direct this performance, unlike any you will see in the City of Boston. Daniel Mahoney is the Conductor working with the One City Choir. Alexandra Dietrich is the Conductor for the Youth Choir made up of students from the local North End Elementary schools, the St. John School and the Eliot K-8 Innovation School who will perform a special prelude to the concert. The Professional Soloists will feature Teresa Wakim (soprano), Emily Marvosh (contralto), Ethan DePuy (tenor), and Junhan Choi (bass).
The Messiah performance is a gift for Bostonians and music-lovers that want to visit Boston’s Little Italy and experience art and culture through a production that brings together both professional and amateur singers and musicians to create a meaningful, unforgettable experience for all.

ABOUT BOSTON LANDMARKS ORCHESTRA: The Boston Landmarks Orchestra was founded in 2001 by conductor and community advocate Charles Ansbacher. The orchestra is comprised of many of the area’s finest professional musicians and they are active throughout the neighborhoods of Boston. ABOUT THE ONE CITY CHOIR: The choir is a volunteer group made up of over 40 experienced choir singers from all over the greater Boston area and state.
