Solo Art Exhibit: Michael Waters

"Nature" will be the star at the Fourth Friday art and music reception at Nashville North Studios. Our Solo Artist, Michael Waters, is an American symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of our artistic community. Michael is a graduate of Pratt Institute and long time artist/designer in New York, New Orleans, Key West and of course right here in South Jersey. He intertwines his love of detail with the fabric of nature: They not only radiate beauty, they are melodic and intent on sharing a certain rhythm. His works have been compared to Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt, but his influences are more in line with Miro, Klee and Gottlieb. Please join us in welcoming Michael for his solo exhibition.
Musically, we have a real treat for you! Chubby Checker's former sax player, Kenn Dorn, will be joining us along with Louis Giunta, director of The 16-piece Buddy Gale Big Band. This July evening will fill your artistic senses both musically and visually!
Our group exhibit "Nature" features many award winning local artists who also show in Miami and New York City as well as at The Ocean City Arts Center, OCFAL, The Noyes Museum, The Renaissance Center for the Arts, Great Bay Art Gallery, Soma, Chora Leon and other places in Southern New Jersey and around the world. And please note that local artist Lance Balderson has work in the permanent collection at The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
