NACHMO! Boston: Formal Shows

NACHMO! is an annual challenge that spurs dancers, choreographers, and movement enthusiasts to choreograph by providing a month-long deadline and a community of peers. Throughout January, NACHMO! Boston hosts events, posts choreographic prompts to social media, and facilitates ways for participants to meet, network and collaborate. In this showcase, NACHMO! Boston provides participating artists the opportunity to share the newly made dances with the public and give choreographers a chance to get structured feedback. Our mission is to build a strong, active community of dance makers.

NACHMO! was started in NYC and has its headquarters there. NACHMO! leaders in participating cities communicate, but each city is responsible for its own NACHMO! experience. The Boston cohort has partnered with The Dance Complex to offer you choreographic tools workshops, feedback sessions, and both informal and formal showing opportunities.

NACHMO! was a Boston Globe Critic's Pick for Theater and Dance 2013, 2014 and 2015!
