Garfield Mountain is a 4,500-foot mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire (Grafton County) in the White Mountains. We’ll be taking the Mount Garfield Trail which is a 9.3 mile out and back trail (meaning the trail will be the same going towards the peak and back) which also features beautiful wildflowers.


This might be a peak time for a fall hike and hope to see good colors, weather permitting.


This hike is rated as moderate for the distance and a gradual ascent. Please bring hiking shoes or running shoes with excellent traction, 2 – 3 liters of water, food, a hat, sunglasses, headlamp and a layer just in case of cold. Please try to avoid cotton clothing.
