Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig is a raucous backstage farce about a dysfunctional theater troupe performing at the Erlanger Theatre in Buffalo, New York, in 1953
The hilarious story centers on George and Charlotte Hay, who are playing Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac when fate gives them one last shot at starring roles in a movie. Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel.
George and Charlotte give the performance of a lifetime and keep going even when the bill of fare is hilariously confused and the backstage goings on spill over onstage.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays February 5 through 20 at 8:00 p.m.
Cast:
George Hay: Stephen Peters, Charlotte Hay: Janet Ferguson, Ethel: Jen Bean, Rosalind: Kara Quilland, Howard: Paul Decamp, Eileen: Agatha Babbitt, Paul: Kristopher Moreau, and Richard: Mark Logue.
