Samantha, from Earnest Bee Calligraphy + Design, will be joining us to show you how to add beautiful lettering to your holiday tables or dress up your greeting cards with some pointed pen calligraphy!

About Samantha
Samantha Paull Ellito is the calligrapher and artist behind Earnest Bee Calligraphy + Design. She's a serial optimist with a weakness for coffee, flowers, her paintbrushes, and fall. She loves calling Massachusetts home but if you listen close has the remnants of a southern accent from living in North Florida for 15 years. She loves adventures just as much as she loves curling up with a good book, or a fresh page in her sketch book.
Earnest Bee started with a love of letters - dating back over 20 years ago when Samantha's Great Aunt, a professional calligrapher, taught her broad tip calligraphy. From there her love of small written art pieces grew from a hobby, as she started working with friends and non-profits volunteering her time, into a business which officially started taking clients last year. Since opening her business, Samantha has been continuously educating herself, further honing her pointed pen calligraphy skills, working in different mediums, and varied styles. Her stationery pieces are calligraphy and watercolor art based. She loves the hand-crafted touch calligraphy brings to any event, whether it's a simple get together with some friends, a single love letter, wedding invitations, or shower invites. She also loves the joy calligraphy practice brings to its participants, not just its recipients. Calligraphy has been compared to meditation for its relaxing components and rhythmic movements.

An independent furniture, home goods and decor shop in Boston's Metro West, Laurel Grove breathes new life, and your own spirit, into found, new, and old treasures.
Local artisan Kim Urquhart gives neglected furniture and decor a second life at the in-studio shop. Kim and her team design and build custom home furnishings from antique and classic components.
