On Thursday the 30th of August, MMMMAVEN School Of Music will open our doors for an open house and a taste of what we do. We invite you to come in and mingle with other music enthusiasts while sampling our DJ and Production programs. The classes will be very hands-on - you will learn the basics of DJing with vinyl and Serato in our state of the art studio and work on Ableton Push to create your own music.


Instructors: Kareem Clarke and Jason Petrin (production)


New York native, Kareem Clarke, has been a musician for most of his life. After DJing for many years in college, Kareem has decided to pursue a full time music career. He spent two years in Valencia and got two Master’s Degrees; one in Music Business and one in Music Production Technology and Innovation.
Along with teaching at Mmmmaven, Kareem is currently a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston and runs his own record label called Digital Den Records.


Working as a freelance producer/engineer and club DJ, Jason Petrin has built a career in the audio world both in the studio and on the stage. After graduating from Berklee in 2004, Jason began his career working in studios in and around Boston producing and engineering records for a variety of bands, artists, and rappers. In 2005, Jason became one half of the DJ duo Jefr Tale. As part of Jefr Tale, Jason hosted a weekly radio show on SiruisXM, performed at some of the biggest festivals and venues across the North America and Brazil (including Ultra Music Festival, Red Rocks Colorado, and Burning Man), and produced a string of successful original releases. Following up on the success of Jefr Tale, Jason plunged deeper into electronic production, working with several other DJ and producers and branching out into hip hop production and pop songwriting. Jason continues to split his time evenly between producing, engineering, writing, and performing.
