Berklee's 2015 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration focuses on intersectionality in society. This keynote presentation will feature Chuck D, best known for his work with seminal hip-hop group Public Enemy, along with Angella Dozier Henry, mother of DJ Henry and founder of the DJ Dream Fund. A short meet and greet in the Berklee Dining Hall will follow the event.

The presentation will include a panel discussion with Chuck D and Berklee faculty members Matt Jenson, Omar Thomas, and Carolyn Wilkins, as well as Janicanne Shane from Berklee's Student Activities Center. Berklee faculty, staff, and students will share thoughts on police brutality, environmental justice, gender equality, and LGBTQIA civil rights.

In addition, the event will feature musical performances by Nedelka Prescod, Omar Thomas, and others; Thomas will present excerpts from "We Will Know: An LGBT Civil Rights Piece in Four Movements."
