Minni Make + Play virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.
In Minni Make + Play – Scribble Stones (virtual) little artists and caregivers will transform rocks into vibrant gems using a mix of paint and paper. Instructor Maria will begin with a book reading for inspiration before showing students how to turn their rock collections into colorful works of art.
Materials Needed
Scavenger hunt items: 2–3 medium sized stones found outside or in your home rock collection
Crayons and/or oil pastels
Cup or container of water
Paint brush
Elmer’s white liquid glue (or just grab some white paint!)
Tempera paint (recommended) or food coloring in 2 colors
2 bowls to mix paint and glue in
Anything to collage with, such as small paper shapes, pom poms, yarn and googly eyes!
