The Middle Eastern Music Festival is a celebrated annual event that brings artists from the Middle East, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean together with students from all over the world to learn and experience the musical traditions of those regions. This year's edition, The Music of Persia, will bring into focus various traditions from the Balkans and the Caucasus, with an emphasis on Persian music. It will feature world-renowned names from the Persian tradition, the Pletenitsa Balkan Choir, the Middle Eastern Fusion Festival Band, the Berklee World Strings (directed by Eugene Friesen), and many other special guests.
