As part of the Mayor's Recovery Month Book Club, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh will lead a discussion with authors Sam Quinones and Maureen Cavanagh. Quinone's book Dreamland won a National Book Critics Award for his reporting on how the opioid epidemic swept across America over the last two decades. A local author, Cavanagh's memoir details her journey through her daughter's opioid addiction.


The author's will take questions from the audience and sign books after the event.
