Join us for our final summer series of #MattapanLove on Sunday, August 18th from 12p - 6p! Listen for DJ D.Speed and meet us past the wading pool and tennis courts.

Our Open Market is combined with community hosts providing free resources and unique shopping experience by local vendors. We offer art and gifts for purchase like art/photography, jewelry, apparel, kid's toys, books, and all-natural skincare products

8/16 Sunday Schedule:

12 - 6 pm
Open Market, Lawn Games, and food stations open with The Spaht Food Truck serving up traditional and vegan-friendly Dominican food and Cafe Juice Up keeping us cool with their natural smoothies

Design Museum Boston previews We Design; People, Practice, Progress a multi-media exhibition celebrating the range of design career paths, and the diverse people making an impact in those industries. Look for the Mobile art trailer parked behind the basketball courts. Learn More!

Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park is made up of 34 islands and peninsulas and is an urban oasis just minutes from Boston's city center. They are increasing their community outreach with free tickets to a Mattapan boat cruise on Monday, August 19th. Their overall mission is to create an opportunity for education, recreation, and restful solitude that's close to home.

Afrobeat Fit invades #MattapanLove with their free sweat sessions! Move to the music that comes from the late and great artists and influencers of Africa. Great for all ages & no experience needed. Sign up here!

Everyday Boston connects the city by sharing real stories to break the stereotype. Visit their pop up story shop, in which they will offer visitors the opportunity to share their life experiences based on a range of story prompts, and film them for social media for both your account and theirs!

3:30 - 4 pm
Redshaydez performs at #MattapanLove with DJ Brandie Blaze. Red is a Boston-born lyricist, filmmaker, and mentor and has performed at A3C Festival & Conference, HubWeek 2018, BAMS Fest 2019, and is taking the college circuit by storm with her live shows and consistently empowering brand.

#MattapanLove is a series of community events sponsored by Boston Food and Forest Coalition, Farmer's Collaborative, Greater Mattapan Neighborhood Council and Ideal Mixer.
