Join disgraced former theater director Wallace J. Beckett II for an evening of entertainment and intrigue. Each show, with help from his stable of unpaid interns, Wallace debuts a pair of brand new one act plays written by pillars of the Philadelphia Comedy community. After each premiere, the authors are invited to join him onstage for a conversation illuminating their writing process, sources of inspiration, and ways Wallace might creep back into the good graces of the fickle theater community. Two world premiers for the price of one!
THIS MONTH:
Right on Time by Amanda Taylor
Two lush friends debate the merits of time travel depiction throughout the years. Does one of them, however, possess the answer to the very debate they’re holding?
The Crossing by Brian Clores
An exploration of avian migratory patterns and their relation to our southern border. In no way a condemnation of the bigoted pig-fuckery emboldened by the current presidential administration. Completely apolitical. Everyone is welcome. This is a play about birds.
