Massachusetts Orchid Society Annual Show and Sale

The Massachusetts Orchid Society (MOS) is pleased to announce its annual “World of Orchids” show and sale, Friday, November 2 to Sunday, November 4, at the Sons of Italy Hall at 117 Swanton St. in Winchester. This new venue offers a more intimate setting, fitting with this year’s theme of “Up Close and Personal.” Show times will run 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Weave through over twenty exotic orchid displays from private collectors and orchid societies all over New England, and several national-based vendors. Visitors are encouraged to bring a magnifying glass to get “Up Close and Personal” with some of the smallest orchids on display (being careful not to touch), whose diminutive size can hide their intricate detail and beauty from the naked eye, while also getting a closer look at the intricacies of the larger orchids. MOS members will be on hand to answer any questions.

The show will feature something for every level of enthusiast, from beginner to advanced, including hourly tours of the displays, plant raffles, vendors of specialty orchids and growing supplies, and orchid art. The show is $10 per person, with MOS members and children under ten, free. All proceeds help fund MOS, a non-profit organization. For more information please visit www.massorchid.org/show.
