Marathon Monday is a day that holds a special meaning and memories for all of us in Boston. While the Boston Marathon has been postponed so that we can all stay home for our healthcare heroes, we encourage you all to lace up and sweat with us in solidarity for our Marathon Monday Virtual Run.
Set those alarms for 9:45am THIS Monday, April 20th. That’s the exact time the women’s elite runners would be crossing the starting line, and we are a tribe of badass women and elite athletes, all in our own right.
Joining us at 9:45am on Instagram Live @HealthworksFit to kick things off is Judy Neufeld, Healthworks member and the founder of Spark Sisterhood running retreats. Inspired by the strength and resilience of the Boston running community, Judy began running just 5 days after the 2013 Boston Marathon and hasn’t stopped since!
Monday is Judy’s 7-year running anniversary and she plans to lace up, mask up, and run 2.62 miles around her neighborhood. Whether you’re a Boston Marathon runner or a 5k beginner, rather bike or get your cardio from a class on Vimeo, we hope you join us Monday as we break a sweat together for what this day means to all of us, now more than ever.
