Make Music Boston

Make Music Boston is a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year, with concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city.

Make Music Boston 2017 will feature live, free performances all across the city of Boston on June 21st, featuring musicians of all stripes in venues including the Boston Common, the Lawn on D, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Museum of Fine Arts, Copley Square, and the Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

In our first three years, the festival grew from 100 to 175 artists and ensembles performing music of all genres throughout the day. We’ve showcased Too Many Trombones, an ensemble of 30 trombonists premiering music composed by Norman Bolter, and teamed with Girls Rock Boston for a mass guitar jam session.
