About Grainmaker: Inspired by a journey through Southeast Asia, Chris Freeman created Grainmaker, a street food-inspired, fast casual restaurant with diverse flavors and a strong commitment to the community. Grainmaker features customizable warm rice bowls - focusing on Southeast Asia’s staple “humble grain” - in addition to innovative salads and street signatures, like banh mi and street tacos, prepared fresh daily. The company prides itself on sourcing ingredients locally and organically, when possible, and partnering with neighboring businesses. At the close of every day, Grainmaker eliminates all food waste in the restaurant by delivering items to Boston Rescue Mission, an organization which has been providing food and shelter to those in need since 1899. With its flagship location at 91 Summer Street in Boston’s bustling Downtown Crossing, the company plans to expand to several more locations in the next few years. Get ready to InGrain Yourself.
