Maiden Phoenix Theatre Company is proud to present its summer production, William Shakespeare’s The Winters Tale, directed by Sarah Gazdowicz. In this re-imagining of a Shakespearean classic, The Winter’s Tale shines a light on jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness. Boasting some of the most intelligent and engaging women in Shakespeare’s canon, this tale invites us to re-examine our own modern day truths and relationships.
This production is presented with an all-female cast, and aims to redefine modern views on domestic violence and family relations. It is also produced as a free outdoor event with the support of local Somerville businesses. The audience will be repositioned between acts.
