As the nation grapples with the interconnected traumas of systemic racism and COVID-19, residents of the 4th Congressional District are looking for leadership to meet this moment.

11 candidates are vying to represent them in the U.S. House of Representatives, and 9 of them have committed to a forum to discuss their views on racial justice.

The CD4 Racial Justice Forum will be held on August 3, 2020 at 7:00 pm via Zoom and also streamed live by Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) in collaboration with cable access stations throughout the 4th Congressional District. A recording will also be available for later viewing.

Moderators include Emy Takinami, Malcolm Doldron and Raul Fernandez. Their questions will press the candidates to move beyond platitudes to provide a deeper understanding of their lived experiences and, critically, their specific policy proposals.

Brookline for Racial Justice and Equity (BRJE) is hosting the forum.

Due to the large number of candidates, they will participate in one of two groups:

Group A:
Dave Cavell
Becky Grossman
Alan Khazei
Ihssane Leckey
Jesse Mermell

Group B:
Jake Auchincloss
Natalia Linos
Benjamin Sigel
Chris Zannetos

To watch via Zoom as an attendee, register at: https://brooklineinteractive-org.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_A_ybDqEmSs-IYatjkrf8DQ. The forum will also be live on Brookline Comcast 23 / RCN 15/613 HD and other cable access stations in the district – check local listings.

The recorded forum will be available on: http://brooklineinteractive.org/ as well as BIG's YouTube and Facebook pages.
