Lyrical Yoga Fusion Samantha Eve Kennedy

LYF or Lyrical Yoga Fusion takes the practice of yoga out of the traditional static holds, into the realm of dance.
Unlike traditional linear breath to movement often found in vinyasa, this practice explores the full range of motion - 360 degrees of space - off the mat. Instead of simply having music playing in the background, the movements CONNECT WITH the music to express emotions, ideas, or a story.
Each week we’ll warm up with a series of postures to explore alignment, positioning, and develop more flexibility and strength. Then we’ll play with a choreography which utilizes yoga asanas set to a particular piece of music, allowing you to explore the creative side of movement in a whole new way.
Class is open to all levels, no previous yoga experience necessary. Just come with an open mind and willingness to play, explore, and create! If you prefer to use a mat for floorwork, please bring one for the warm up and cool down sessions.
