Lung cancer specialists from Mass General Hospital and Newton Wellesley Hospital will talk about the benefits of lung cancer screening, early detection of lung cancer, and the rise in lung cancer cases, even among non-smokers.

Hugh Auchincloss, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2008. He completed his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training at Massachusetts General Hospital and joined the Division of Thoracic Surgery in 2018.


Shawn Lear, PA-C is a graduate of the Duke Physician Assistant Program and the Norwalk/Yale Surgical Physician Assistant Residency Program. Her areas of interest include early detection of lung cancer. She is the Physician Assistant for Thoracic Surgery and Coordinator of the Lung Nodule Clinic at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
