Please join us for our Spotlight on Youth Family Concert. Perfect for all young aspiring musicians, this family friendly concert is geared towards introducing children of all ages to classical music. Come and have a listen as we bring back favorites from the past and introduce new favorites from the present! Enjoy the soothing sounds of a program containing music from Disney’s hit animated feature Frozen and several lively classical tunes. Our winter concert series also features our String Student Play-In, a yearly tradition in which young string students of various levels of experience join the orchestra in performing a portion of the concert program. Snacks and refreshments will be available during a brief intermission. As an added bonus, come dressed up as your favorite fairytale character and receive free admission to the concert!
And don’t forget to stick around after the concert program for a 30 minute “Meet the Instruments” session. This gathering allows children to meet our wonderful musicians and get a closer look at and learn more about the instruments that make up our ensemble.
Inspiring the greater Lowell community with quality musical performances since 1987, the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra continues to provide audiences with lively classical and pops music each season. We offer casual, lighthearted concerts, making audiences of all ages comfortable and engaged.
Comprised of passionate semi-professional and amateur musicians, the LPO not only offers an outlet for local talent, but fosters future generations of musicians and music lovers by actively encouraging area youth to become involved with local music. The LPO enriches youth through the appreciation of concerts, skill development, and showcasing local young musicians’ excellence.
