In this class we'll explore the sensual nature of burlesque floorwork. Students will learn how to get down to the floor and how to get back up again, classic floorwork moves, traveling, and transitions. And as long as we're down there, we'll do some stocking peels.


We'll also discuss when floorwork is appropriate and how to modify your act for when it isn't. Exercises for strengthening the core (vital for floorwork!) will be included.


We'll be spending a lot of time on the floor, so please bring a yoga mat or towel if you think you will need the extra cushion. Kneepads are recommended.


Classes are Thursdays, February, 2, 9, 16, 23, 6:30-7:30pm.
