We love beer, and we love cheese, so we've put the two together in a pairing series celebrating local farms and creameries. We'll select a new farm each month and prepare a curated flight of different cheese varieties and beer styles for you to enjoy! Serving details below.

December 2019: Vermont Creamery (Websterville, VT)

--

Bonne Bouche Is an ash-ripened, artisanal goat cheese made by hand in the traditional French Style. It is sweet and gentle young, but as it ages it will soften and intensify in flavor and will melt in your mouth!

Joybringer Tripel is our pick to complement this ooey-gooey delight of a cheese! Joybringer’s spicy, fruity esters and mildy sweet finish round everything out.

--

Cremont - named for the Cream of Vermont, - is a mixed milk cheese combining local fresh cow milk, goat milk and a hint of Vermont Cream. A special cocktail of yeast and mold are added to create its unique flavor and to coagulate the milk overnight. The fresh curd is shaped by hand and then aged for two weeks to develop the unique cream colored rind and luxurious, smooth interior.

Extra Naked Cream Ale has floral and citrus notes from generous dry hopping, and its light body provides a nice contrast to this rich cheese.

--

Bijou has a very smooth and creamy texture, a sweet and mild rind, and notes of fresh flowers, citrus, and hazelnuts. It’s yeast-packaged in its own micro-cave to protect the cheese and allow the cheese to continue to ripen.

The light caramel and stonefruit notes of Wasted Life IPA pair beautifully with this soft cheese!

--

Vault No. 5 Cheddar (Cellars at Jasper Hill)
This smooth textured cheese is perfect for melting, though complex and savory flavors make it a stand-alone favorite.

Try Spruce Moose Pale with this lovely cheese! Brewed with caramel malts, spruce tips, and local honey, this is a classic citrus ‘n pine pale that complements cheddar well.

We'll be serving the cheeses with the recommended beer flight for $25. We also sell this month's cheeses by the wedge in the taproom (ordered a la carte) after the cheese flight event! We would love to hear your feedback as we explore this new program.
