It's not so bad to be alone. After all, there are records, kitties, and so, so many bearded guys. Ignatz Award-winning artist Liz Prince explores the ups and downs of singledom in her totally delightful, hilarious collection from her popular webcomic, Alone Forever. She will be joined in conversation by Tim Finn, professor at Lesley University College of Art and Design, and owner of Hub Comics in Union Square, Somerville.
Co-sponsored by Hub Comics.
Brookline Booksmith is also holding a caption contest in honor of Alone Forever. The winner will receive a copy of Alone Forever with a limited edition bookplate, $20 gift certificates to both Hub Comics and Brookline Booksmith, and other fun things including COMPLETE GLORY. Attendance at this event is required to win; failure to attend results in the forfeiture of any prizes won and the good time you would have at this amazing event. About "Alone Forever: The Singles Collection":
Liz Prince, author of the world's cutest relationship comic, "Will You Still Love Me If I Wet the Bed?," returns with a new comic about being -- gasp -- SINGLE. At last bringing her popular webcomic to printed form, ALONE FOREVER explores the joys of flying solo, free to focus on what really matters: comics, punk rock, and cute boys with beards. Drawn in Liz Prince's ultra-charming style, filled with self-deprecation and cats, there's something for everyone to relate to in this celebration of self-reliance in the age of OkCupid.
