Makadi is a R&B/Soul & Hip-Hop artist newly based in Vancouver originally from Boston, MA (Berklee College of Music collaborator and Boston University alum) who artfully blends his soulful vocals and compelling lyricism with the relatable elements of electronic, funk, neo-soul and the like.
No stranger to the stage and spotlight, Makadi was a finalist in the 2018 WBUR NPR Tiny Desk Contest for Boston Favorite for his song ‘Count Your Blessings’ and again in 2019 for his song ‘JS LVN LFE’. Makadi was in a Boston Music Award winning band for Gospel/Inspirational Artist of the Year in 2013. In January 2019 he released his debut album titled ‘YLLW’ (pronounced yellow) which showcased his electric versatility and authentic song-writing.
