It's been a long week. The longest week. The kind of week you get through by looking forward to leaving work Friday at 5 p.m. and heading straight to your favorite bar to meet some friends, blow off some steam, and hear some music. Except all the bars are closed, all the gigs are canceled, and you can only interact with your friends in the group chat.
The next best thing? The Boston Calendar's Live at Five: Virtual Happy Hour Concert Series. Every Friday at 5 p.m., tune in via Facebook Live or Instagram Live to enjoy a short set of live music from a local artist -- beginning this week with the Blue Light Bandits, a four-piece independent groove rock band you might have seen at Lucky's Lounge, the Midway Cafe, Aeronaut Brewing or the Lawn on D.
If you like what you hear you can head to the band's website to purchase or stream music.
