LIT is a comprehensive portrait by pioneer artist Lesley Schiff. The exhibition begins its multi-city tour in Boston at a pop-up museum in the new Van Ness building in The Fenway neighborhood, long known as a haven for rock artists and venues.
Granted access to Bob Dylan's extensive archive, Miss Schiff creates a dynamic visual interpretation of an icon, his classic performances, his songs and his legacy. Consisting of selections from the series and the music that inspire the work, the exhibition is an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
This unconventional Visual Biography of Bob Dylan is presented by The Verb Hotel—Boston’s best independent hotel celebrating music and journalism from the neighborhood—and TheFenway.com—a hub for everything happening in The Fenway.
A portion of the proceeds from the art work sold will go to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation and Ernie Boch’s Music Drives Us Foundation. Both support student music programs in New England.
