When Duke Ellington’s “Sophisticated Lady” was first introduced in 1933, the composer/pianist/bandleader was already at the top of an amazing career that would span more than 50 years. Come to the BCAE as we listen and discuss some of his greatest hits that contributed to the evolution of jazz in America.
