Let's do the Carters and Mount Hight in one day

The Carter Range is located near Gorham, New Hampshire and offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as difficult. This hike offers stunning views and an amazing ridge line walk. I have arranged for a car spotting route with a total distance of 12.2 miles and an elevation gain of 4528 feet:

We can also simply walk back which would add 0.8 miles of road walk.


Expectations:


Although spring is in full swing it is still possible that we have some low temperatures at higher altitudes. There we need to be prepared for these conditions and have all of the required gear below. You are joining like-minded enthusiasts and are responsible for your own safety and preparedness. You are responsible for having a map of this hike (digital/physical); this is not a guided hike. You agree and follow the Ridj-It and COVID guidelines. Above that please be nice and make this a good experience for everyone.


What to bring:


Hiking boots (no sneakers).
Waterproof and windproof pants & shell jacket.
Non-cotton layering system.
Hat with sun shield.
Sun screen
Gloves
Headlamp
2-3 liters of water.
Food (Snacks/lunch). You will be burning a lot of energy!
Recommended:


Extra battery for electronics.
Water proof container/bag for electronics/valuables.
extra socks


I will check gear for this hike at the pick-up location and at the trailhead for non-carpoolers. For your safety and the safety of the other hikers, you will not be allowed to join the hike without proper gear.
