Wanna give dragon boating a try? Come join us at our water training sessions! No prior experience necessary.

Sessions are quality workouts with some of the friendliest people from all walks of life, representing a variety of ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. The concept of paddling as a team has been very inspiring and motivational – we train hard and race together throughout the season, aspiring to becoming a team at the international level.

• What is Dragon Boat Racing?
Dragon boat racing is a traditional Chinese water sport that has rapidly grown in international popularity from the 1970’s onward. A dragon boat is a canoe-shaped boat that seats twenty-two athletes, including a steerer and a drummer.

• Make sure to RSVP here: http://www.meetup.com/Boston-1-Dragon-Boat-Team/

• Where: Fort Point Channel @ Barking Crab (60 Sleeper St, Boston - grassy patch between Children's Museum and Barking Crab)

• When: Mon & Wed 5:45pm - 8pm, Sat 10:45am - 1pm

• Make sure to check our Facebook (http://bit.ly/Boston1facebook) for practice announcements and cancellations -- especially in the early and later parts of season with potentially colder night practices.

• First two practices are $10 (The $10 can go towards the full membership of $110 for the rest of the season). Pay via Paypal ([email protected]) or venmo (@boston1dboat).

• Please make sure to sign the waiver prior to coming: bit.ly/b1waiver

• Clothing: Wear workout clothes, synthetic fibers that dry quickly are highly recommended. Bring dry clothes to change into afterwards.

• Footwear: Sandals or flip flops recommended. Some people go barefoot. Shoes and socks are not recommended.

• Other: Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Expensive glasses or sunglasses are not recommended. All paddling equipment is provided (paddles, pfds). Locked locker provided on-site. Please bring as little as possible to practice as space is limited.
