At this show, we will explain the concept of intersectionality and how it plays out in our lives. The emcee will then facilitate brief, spontaneous conversations with volunteers from the audience who share their own experiences. After each conversation, the actors and musician immediately embody the key feelings and actions they heard, using movement, music, dialogue, and superb listening. All of it is improvised on the spot. During the course of the event, True Story will enact about 6-8 stories.

From these interactions, audience members gain insights and an expanded sense of community. We will conclude with a wrap-up about how we can incorporate insights into our daily lives at work and elsewhere.

Sponsored by LexPride. Cosponsored by several other community organizations.

Free and open to all.

Wheelchair accessible. Certified service dogs allowed. Assistive listening devices available. ASL interpreted. Gender neutral bathrooms available.
