Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant (Iron Hill) Wilmington is bringing back Last Alarm IPA for a limited time along with the return of a fundraiser benefitting the Wilmington Fire Department. The third annual brew and release commemorates three Wilmington Fire Department heroes lost in the line of duty. Lieutenant Christopher Leach, Senior Fire Fighter Jerry Fickes and Senior Fire Fighter Ardythe Hope were responding to a call in September 2016 that ended tragically.

A session IPA with a subtle malt profile that leads to a burst of citrusy passion fruit American hop aroma and flavor, it clocks in at a drinkable 4.9%. $1 from every pint or mug of Last Alarm IPA will be donated to the Wilmington Fire Department while the beer is on tap. Following the inaugural Last Alarm 5k on Saturday, September 15, a fundraiser at the restaurant will support the Wilmington firefighters' union and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1590, with 20 percent of the day’s proceeds going to the organization.
