La Forma (www.laforma.co) produces exclusive, limited-edition, high performance wear for yoga, running, and swimming.

More than just your ordinary activewear brand, La Forma’s designs are created by a community of artists who treat each piece of clothing as their very own canvas. The line’s colorful, high-performance apparel is produced in limited edition batches, resulting in exclusive (and wearable) art. La Forma’s collaborative approach is applied top to bottom, by promoting each artist and giving a portion of every sale directly back to them.

Each artist has their own aesthetic and specialty, from painting and sculpting to photography, illustrating and even typography. Contributing from such cities as London, Florence, Istanbul and of course Boston, their dynamic backgrounds and experiences are evident in each piece of apparel. Staples like racer-back tanks, sport bras and leggings are joined by a diverse collection of more playful and unique styles.

The idea of combining high performance technical wear with artists from around the world was born in Boston at MIT’s START Studio (a MIT art focused entrepreneur program) and was officially launched in June of 2016. Now, almost a year later, they are returning to their roots for an exclusive pop up shop at Ministry of Supply at 299 Newbury Street from April 13-16 as part of Marathon Monday Weekend. Additionally, a portion of all Pop-up proceeds are being donated directly to the Boston America Scores program.

All garments are limited edition, so this event is a must attend to get your hands on these truly unique pieces and get first look at the latest releases and designs!
