In this workshop, we will seek to blend the strange with the real to create lasting, dynamic characters in our scenes. Through physical exercises and emotional focused activities we will develop and practice techniques to form characters that may be outside of our norm, but fun as heck to play in any improv scene.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Annie Paradis has studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, the People’s Improv Theater (PIT), and taken workshops under Susan Messing (Annoyance Theater, The Second City, iO Theater) and Mike Spara (The New Movement). Annie received her BFA from Pratt Institute in Creative Writing with a focus in Poetry and Performance. She is a member of the improv teams HOTLINE and Swan Year and hosts / produces the monthly poetry comedy show The Slam at Good Good Comedy Theatre.
