Last year was the first annual Jamaica Plain Porchfest, a unique and exciting event bringing together musicians and neighborhood in a celebration of diversity, togetherness, community and most importantly, great tunes. This year, the folks behind Porchfest plan to do it again, with more performers, more porches, longer hours and an even bigger opportunity to walk through the streets of Jamaica Plain and experience a broad range of music, dance, theater, circus arts, spoken word and storytelling....
However, they can't do it alone!
On March 23rd, Tres Gatos will be hosting a fundraiser for the Porchfest folks to help them put on THE show of the summer. We will be selling tickets in advance in the record store for 12.50, and tickets at the door will be 15 dollars. All proceeds from the door go to Porchfest, as well as 10 percent of all food, drink and store sales.
So what's gonna happen?
A special summer menu of Porch Tapas, featuring BBQ, ribs, watermelon and more, plus summer-themed cocktails. More on this to come.
