Returning to the Theatre District after more than 10 years and boasting all-new sets and costumes, José Mateo Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker at Boston's Cutler Majestic is poised to bring back cherished memories, as well as to introduce a new generation to this magical production. This beloved holiday dance, set to Tchaikovsky's masterful score, tells the story of a young girl who receives a nutcracker as a Christmas Eve gift and who dreams of an enchanted adventure full of excitement, romance and plenty of Sugar Plum Fairies.
