Jokes on the Water All-Star Comedy Show 2020 debut

Jokes on the Water is Greater Boston's hottest new comedy series.

The show debuted in the fall of 2019 at the beautiful new Victory Room at Victory Point in Marina Bay overlooking Boston Harbor and has sold out each show while featuring the talents of the region's top stand-up performers.

The 2020 season promises to bigger, better and funnier than ever. Your Jokes on the Water host and emcee, author, sportswriter and comedian Jerry Thornton, kicks off the new season by welcoming fellow stand-ups Jimmy Dunn and Mike Whitman to the stage on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Tickets are available now! Please note: the January show, for this month only, will take place in the Amelia Room on the boardwalk level of Victory Point.

Football fans have read and loved Thornton for years on Barstool Sports and watched him on HBO. Thornton is the Patriots superfan, NFL commentator and author who "defended the wall" of Tom Brady's honor against evil Roger Goodell and the NFL.

Dunn is an actor and stand-up comedian from Boston who recently co-starred on the CBS comedy "The McCarthys" as Sean McCarthy. He got his start in the comedy world telling jokes at a bar in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where he was paid in beer and fried clams.

Since then, Jimmy has gone on to perform at some of the comedy industry's most prestigious events, including Denis Leary's Comics Come Home, Montreal's International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and the Late Show with David Letterman.

Whitman was chosen by The Boston Globe as the one of the region's top rising comedians, while his innovative material and style made him a semi-finalist of the Boston Comedy Festival multiple times.

He is one of the nation's most versatile and entertaining comics working today. Mike has performed at colleges and top venues throughout the country, while sharing the stage with national headlining acts such as Norm MacDonald, Nick DiPaolo, Jim Gaffigan, Jim Norton, Jim Brewer.

Jokes on the Water features great food and drink from award-winning executive chef Pino Maffeo plus full cash bar.

Jokes on the Water will feature shows each month in 2020, plus additional special-occasion performances throughout the year.
