Plants are sustainably grown right here in Mattapan. Featuring native perennials like nodding onion, butterfly milkweed, maypop, trout lily, and wild ginger, as well as woody natives like moosewood, maleberry, and bayberry and 100 more species, as well as medicinal herbs like ashwaganda, chamomile, and lemon balm, classic heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, and an array of compact and disease resistant vegetables well suited for urban gardens.
