The Iyengar methodology has a longstanding tradition of seasonal registration series classes. Senior faculty teach the same group of committed students on a weekly basis and in a progressive and cumulative sequence of instruction. Students experience the depth that comes from learning under a teacher year-round, cultivating a shared language, experience, and consistent class environment.
Studying with a teacher on an annual basis means that Senior Teachers carefully select and prepare substitute teachers when they travel or take leave so students are expected to attend in their absence. For example, Patricia Walden travels annually to Pune, India or may take eight weeks off in summer.
The school offers a plethora of drop-in Iyengar classes for students to take at their convenience so please register for a series only once you have committed to the joys of ongoing study with a seasoned teacher.
