Ipswich Moving Company premiers From Our Eyes inspired by Nicholas Nixon's photos of the Brown Sisters taken over forty years. Eight dancers portray the four sisters at different stages of their lives from the young, impetuous, curious, serious and innocent sisters to the mature serene, wise, strong, and seasoned sisters. This hour long journey explores the enduring qualities of relationships and with the passage of time how we change yet still stay the same. From Our Eyes is intriguing and deeply moving. As it opens a window into the lives of four sisters, it allows us to see ourselves.
From Our Eyes is directed and choreographed by Janet Taisey Craft who has been making dances for over forty years. It is created in collaboration with dancers: Amanda Belanger, Jenny Carlson, Danielle DiVito and Tabitha Rodger who portray the younger sisters. Craft is joined by guest dancers: Lou Cannon, Elizabeth Silveira and Linda Walcott who portray the older sisters.
