Join us on Saturday, October 12th, for a special workshop: Introduction to Printing on an Iron Hand Press.
This will be a rare opportunity to print on our Adams Press, No. 264, manufactured by I & S Adams & Company in 1888 in Boston. Known as an “Acorn” press because of its shape, it is pictured at right in photo.
Participants will learn about the history of the iron hand press, how to do set-up, packing, makeready, inking, and pull a good print. Everyone will take home a keepsake created by the class.
The workshop is limited to six, all materials are provided, there are no prerequisites, $105 non-members, $95 members.
