Tower of Zen; Introduction to Lead Caming.
Welcome to The Glass Bar's newest Stained Glass Class! This class offers insight to a new (to you) technique: Lead Caming!
I say new to you because Lead Caming is the "traditional" Stained Glass method, dating back to the 11th century.
Often found in the windows of Cathedrals, Lead Came produces long-smooth lines and better for geometric shape. This technique allows us to produce professional looking lines through lead, without the need of skilled soldering work (as needed with the Copper Foil technique.)
Join us for the Tower of Zen, Lead Caming Introduction Class, a unique opportunity to learn both stained glass techniques in a single session class.
This class will focus on the Traditional Lead Came Technique but offer an accent on the Copper Foil Technique. The instructor Tracey has constructed high quality pre-cut kits to ensure you cross the finish line bursting with pride and inspiration for your future glass art endeavors.
Tracey will guide you through simple soldering techniques to complete your Tower of Zen Panel.
$95 per person, includes use of tools and materials.
Minimum 2, Maximum 6.
No Experience Necessary.
2 1/2 hour long class.
