Ashtanga Yoga is a strong dynamic flow that builds strength and flexibility in body and mind. Consistent practice of this traditional yoga transforms, leading the practitioner along a path of spiritual awakening and to an understanding of the more subtle energetic realms of existence.

These three workshops will cover the fundamentals of Ashtanga practice, including the tristhana of breath, posture and drishti, while teaching some of the primary series asanas. The workshops are designed for people curious about Ashtanga, those who are interested in joining the Mysore Ashtanga program at Down Under Yoga, and those who have recently started the Mysore program and would like to gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy of the practice as well as the benefits of and best ways to work with the postures and vinyasa.
