Learn the basic skills to make a small tapestry style weaving, from start to finish! You'll learn how to dress the loom, start the weaving, add a few patterns, and tie it off. What you will take home is a pretty little wall hanging.
Class fee includes instruction and all necessary supplies and materials, including loom and yarn for weaving. No prior experience necessary- beginners welcome.
Jessi Highet is a textile artist, soft goods fabricator, and teacher from Brooklyn, NY. She studied textiles and clothing design at Parsons before going on to work as a fabrication artist and teacher. Her personal work is an experimental study of color and pattern through clothing, textiles, and illustration.
