Innovation Bioscience: Deep Dives in Entrepreneurship – Introduction to Solve-it Open Innovation Challenge

Innovation Bioscience Initiative:
Innovation Bioscience is a Munevar & Associates, Inc. training, and incubation initiative focused on bridging the gap between biomedical research and healthcare need. The Deep Dives in Entrepreneurship series provide an opportunity to learn about upcoming training opportunities as well as learn from and connect with the vibrant start-up community of Greater Boston.

This session of Deep Dives in Entrepreneurship will focus on our upcoming Solve-It Open Innovation Challenge that seeks to harness the collective problem-solving capabilities of life science, technical, and business professionals toward creating solutions to some of the most pressing needs in healthcare.

How It Works:
The Solve-It challenge is a weekend-long competition beginning on Friday and concluding on Sunday, where multidisciplinary teams will work together to “solve” challenge questions that span science, technology, commercialization, and healthcare for a chance to win prizes. Throughout the weekend there will also be great opportunities for networking with light food and refreshments provided.

Come meet the Solve-It founders and learn more about the competition. We will also be discussing the “challenge question” for April’s Solve-It, creating opportunities to connect with potential solver teams (or come start one of your own), highlighting challenge criteria and rules as well as answering technical and general competition questions.

We believe that multidisciplinary approaches are the most powerful way to approach the challenge of healthcare need. Solve-It is an opportunity for professionals spanning a variety of backgrounds to work together toward addressing this need. Winners will be selected based on various criteria such as technical innovation and feasibility, implementation, market adoption, and commercialization potential among others and prizes will be awarded to winning teams.
