If you are looking for some cultural enrichment, wanting to connect with Indonesian friends/family members/business colleagues, planning to travel or work in Indonesia, or wanting to have your non-Indonesian speaking children, teenager and/or spouse to be able to speak Indonesian, then these classes are just what you are looking for.
The classes aim at introducing/familiarizing Indonesian culture and its common social customs through language to the interested non-Indonesian speaking general public. They also aim at
strengthening the existence and continuation of Indonesian language (or Bahasa Indonesia) in bilingual families with Indonesian background.
Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world with more than +300 million people. Learning Indonesian can therefore provides you with the ability to speak one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.
Bahasa Indonesia, with some minor differences in vocabulary, is also very similar to the languages used in Indonesia's neighboring countries of Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore. Thus, Indonesian language can help you understand and communicate with many Indonesians, as well as with the Malaysians, Singaporeans, and Bruneians.
Class sessions: April 2, 2016 - May 7, 2016, every Saturday (6 meeting sessions).
Class group age and levels:
- Children (age 5-14yrs) for beginner class.
- Youth & Adults (age 15 yrs - above) for beginner class.
Class schedules:
- Children (beginner): 11am-1pm
- Youth & Adults (beginner): 1.30pm-3.30pm
Individual tuition fee: $180/person for 6 meeting sessions (1 1/2 months).
Family package tuition fee:
$325/2 family members for 6 meeting sessions (1 1/2 months).
$475/3 family members for 6 meeting sessions (1 1/2 months).
